National Memorial Arboretum appoints new Managing Director
22 Aug 2019Philippa Rawlinson has been appointed as Managing Director of the National Memorial Arboretum, which is part of The Royal British Legion. The award-winning free-to-enter 150-acre woodland site in Staffordshire is home to more than 380 memorials, including the national Armed Forces Memorial. It is visited by in excess of 300,000 visitors each year, including nearly 20,000 young people on learning visits.

Mighty Oaks take root at National Memorial Arboretum
16 Apr 2019The clay soil of the National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, provides the foundation for almost 30,000 young trees, thriving living tributes to tremendous acts of service and sacrifice that will endure for centuries. A new temporary exhibition – Mighty Oaks, Coiled Clay - featuring work by illustrator Mark Frith and ceramicist Charlotte Barker, explores these two materials that are fundamental to the site.
