Keele University welcomes TUCO delegates for their Summer Conference 2022

Keele University Events and Conferencing are in the final planning stages to welcome over 400 delegates from Universities around the UK, to attend the TUCO Summer Conference 2022.

The first in-person TUCO Summer Conference since 2019 focuses on ‘Breaking the Mould’, encouraging members to think outside the box when it comes to addressing the challenges in-house university catering is facing today.  The three-day conference programme is packed with keynotes and events, alongside an exhibition providing the delegates with debates, discussion and invaluable networking.

Welcoming over 400 delegates to Keele University, Emma Woodcock, Head of Catering and Events said: “We are delighted to be the host for the TUCO Summer Conference 2022, and to welcome colleagues from universities throughout the UK, to the Keele University Campus.  Working with TUCO to bring together this exciting conference programme, with inspirational and educational keynote speakers has been a pleasure.  The event will be hosted in a marquee to accommodate all delegates under one roof, with plenary sessions in the Chancellors Building.  The operations team are already in final planning and logistics to bring together all the aspects for an exceptional delegate experience whilst on campus.”

Universities bid to host the prestigious TUCO Summer Conference each year and Mike Haslin, TUCO CEO, on awarding the conference to Keele University, said: “TUCO is looking forward to welcoming members, peers and suppliers to Keele this summer for our first in-person conference since 2019. We are delighted to have Keele University host us this year, for what is sure to be an inspiring and innovative three days and thank the team on campus for their hard work in organising this event.”

The conference culminates with the annual Gala Dinner, which also incorporates the TUCO Awards. Accolades will be presented to TUCO members and aim to recognise and celebrate effort, improvement, and achievement from all levels of staff. Keele University are pleased to have been shortlisted within the Rising Star category for the Awards.
