Travelling by Road

With an excellent road network, the county is flanked on either side by the M6 and M1 motorways. These provide direct links to Manchester and Scotland in the north of the country, Birmingham and London in the south.

The A50 brings commuters into the heart of Staffordshire from the M1 and the east and the M54, M6 Toll Road and M42 are all to the South of the county.

Getting to Your Staffordshire Conference with Public Transport

Both Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford train stations are on the recently upgraded West Coast Mainline. This can take you to Birmingham or Manchester in under an hour. There are also direct links between both stations and London Euston - so you can be in the capital in just under 1 hour and 30 minutes.
