Conference Bureau to celebrate coming of age at International Confex 2017

30 Jan 2017

The Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Conference Bureau will “come of age” at this year’s International Confex event on March 1st and 2nd.

The Potteries-based Bureau, which has helped to stage Meetings on a Plate for countless organisations, will be celebrating its 21st birthday at London Olympia - in the capable hands of newly appointed Conference Co-ordinator Claire Scott.

Previously the Head of Events at Staffordshire’s Moddershall Oaks, Scott took on her new role at the Bureau as recently as November 2016, and says: “The Bureau has built-up such a great profile and reputation for itself over the past 21 years, and my main priority is to make sure it’s ‘business as usual’ as we move forwards into 2017, and beyond.”

She will be bringing with her copies of the Bureau’s all-new Meetings on a Plate Conference Guide, introducing new member venues: Hoar Cross Hall Spa Resort, Wychwood Park, and Summit Hospitality - as well as full details of all 36 member venues, spread across one of the largest counties in England.

Located on Stand E47C at the industry’s leading annual exhibition, the Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Conference Bureau has also built-up wide-spread recognition for is Venue Finding Service.

“I plan to be very proactive, and while I will be working hard to update our existing clients on new members and services, I’ll also be hoping to get to make a lot of new contacts,” adds Scott. “It all starts at International Confex in March - but I’ll also be aiming to keep Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent on the radars of conference buyers and event organisers long after that.”

The Bureau will be joined by new member venue Hoar Cross Hall Spa Resort, who will be offering visitors to the show complimentary hand and arm massages…a very relaxing opportunity for organisers to find out more about Staffordshire for corporate events!

The Meetings on a Plate Conference Guide, meanwhile, is packed with all of the information required to plan and book the perfect meeting, at the ideal venue, proving that Staffordshire really is “just your cup of tea”.

The current edition of the new guide can be obtained from Stand E47C at International Confex on March 1st and 2nd. For further details, visit www.conferencestaffordshire.co.uk.
