Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire heads for an international stage
The award-winning Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Conference Bureau will be attending International Confex 2008, Earls Court, as part of a 'Meet Heart of England' partnership aimed at attracting more business-tourism into the region.
The award-winning Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Conference Bureau will be attending International Confex in London this February, as part of a 'Meet Heart of England' partnership aimed at attracting more business-tourism into the region.
'Meet Heart of England' was originally created to act as a collaborative grouping for all West Midlands destinations active in the conferences, meeting and exhibitions industry.
And at this year's International Confex event, staff from Staffordshire - as well as Worcestershire and The Black Country - will be working together to raise the profile of the region as an ideal destination for staging conferences, meetings and events.
Funded by Advantage West Midlands – Business Tourism Theme Group Project, 'Meet Heart of England' has already established itself as a presence in what is a highly competitive market.
Bureau Manager, Claire Williams explained: "International Confex is known throughout the conference and incentive industry as the place for event professionals to meet, exchange ideas and educate themselves on the latest products, services and industry trends. It's great to have a West Midlands presence there – and it's even better to know that Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire will be well represented, too."
"Our services have been recognised by a number of different, independent bodies now; and our own research has demonstrated that 97% of our clients rate the services of the Conference Bureau as 'excellent' or 'good'," added Williams.
A member of the British Association of Conference Destinations, as well as the 'Meet in The Midlands' consortium, the Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Conference Bureau also operates a free Venue Finding Service.
And a new edition of its conference guide - The Perfect Location – will be launched in the Spring.
